Introduction

An attendance system that identifies staff by face as they arrive, replacing manual registers and card-based systems that are easily shared. Built to work at gate scale, where dozens of people arrive in the same few minutes.

Project summary

Computer vision system running on-site, integrating with existing camera hardware and feeding attendance records into payroll and HR systems.

Core features

Automatic face detection and recognition at entry points. Enrolment workflow for new staff. Attendance records tied to individuals rather than cards. Reporting by shift, line or department. Integration with payroll so hours and output reconcile.

Technology used

Python-based computer vision pipeline with on-premise inference so face data never leaves the site, backed by a web dashboard for administration and reporting.

Available in

On-premise deployment with a web dashboard

Market differentiation

Runs on cameras the site already owns, keeps biometric data on-premise, and is designed for the throughput of a factory gate rather than an office door.

Reach so far

Manufacturing and garment operations where headcount reconciliation is a recurring administrative cost.

What comes next

Per-line productivity correlation, temperature and PPE checks at the same capture point, and expansion to multi-site reporting.

Business strategy

Bundling with the broader floor-vision offering so attendance, productivity and safety compliance share one camera deployment.

Conclusion

The value was never the attendance record itself. It was ending the daily reconciliation between gate logs, payroll and actual line output.

About Smart Attendance

On-premise. Biometric templates stay on site and are never transmitted to external services.
